Midwife will check contraction of uterus

Watch for warning sign.
The pee should be bright red, to dark red rusty color, to yellow then white. See doctor if not.

Leg might be pain. see doctor

Calf cramp, see doctor

Tylenol medication for pain relief, 1st child normally OK, but 2nd or 3rd child are pain.

Botoxyn or oxytixyn is to help to contract uterus, given by nurse immediate after delivery, may not need it and let nature do its work

Go to toilet immediate after to help to give signal to body that pregnancy is over. Go to toilet often in confinement period as well

Measure temperature pulse of mummy and baby

Immediate after delivery, midwife will put baby to mother's chest, not need to breast feed immediately

Sometime if cramp or painful, put baby back to that position on tummy as the memory position of the baby

Sometime midwife will massage to help contraction of uterus. Tell them if pain. They might use high strength to massage sometime.

Ngala session 1 to 5

Prepare a bag to hospital Prepare food in freezer for returning home after having baby. No people want to prepare food as tired. Prepare different plan A B C what if baby born on night time, day time etc. Research hospital route. Prepare doctor contact our whoever involve. If there is a child already, reassure them. Research pain relieve option. Discuss with wife beforehand to know the intention. Research labor positions. Lookup breast feeding info. ABA association. Don't need to publish in social media immediately after baby born. Take time to enjoy the attachment and bonding. Mummy will feel hungry after giving birth. Skin to skin contact. Visitors need to be careful if their germs, hand wash, cold sore not to transmit to baby. Feeding baby, about 10 times a day. Every time can only rest 10 minutes and baby wake up again. Ngala Session 10 - deep sleep

one deep sleep cycle for baby is 30 - 40 minutes. why baby seems like able to sleep through few hours? this is because they are able to join their sleep cycle together. normally, baby wakes up after 30 - 40 minutes, open their eyes, look around, make sure they are in safe environment. some babies expect to see their mum and dad, exactly like before they fall into sleep, patting them to sleep. Some babies maybe a good sleeper, they wake up after 30 - 40 minutes, look around, no harm, then they can self-thought to go back to sleep. This is different from baby to baby. normally babies' first 10 minutes is deep sleep cycle, known as NON  REM sleep. REM= Rapid Eye Movement Sleep. That is shallow sleep. this will happen just before they wake. If you notice they are in REM sleep, you can wait beside them and to comfort them just before they wake up.
