Immediate post partum

Midwife will check contraction of uterus

Watch for warning sign.
The pee should be bright red, to dark red rusty color, to yellow then white. See doctor if not.

Leg might be pain. see doctor

Calf cramp, see doctor

Tylenol medication for pain relief, 1st child normally OK, but 2nd or 3rd child are pain.

Botoxyn or oxytixyn is to help to contract uterus, given by nurse immediate after delivery, may not need it and let nature do its work

Go to toilet immediate after to help to give signal to body that pregnancy is over. Go to toilet often in confinement period as well

Measure temperature pulse of mummy and baby

Immediate after delivery, midwife will put baby to mother's chest, not need to breast feed immediately

Sometime if cramp or painful, put baby back to that position on tummy as the memory position of the baby

Sometime midwife will massage to help contraction of uterus. Tell them if pain. They might use high strength to massage sometime.
